A delegation of Uzbekistan held a meeting with the Director-General of the International Labour Organization (ILO) Director-General Guy Ryder.
The meeting was held on the sidelines of the 105th session of International Labour Conference, which is taking place in Geneva.
The Uzbek delegation includes Minister of Labour Aziz Abdukhakimov, chairperson of Federation of Uzbekistan Trade Unions Tanzila Narbaeva and chairperson of the Chamber of Commerce and Industry Alisher Shayhov.
During the meeting, ILO achieved underlined that Uzbekistan achieved positive results in social-labour relations and strong social protection of population. He said that Uzbekistan demonstrates responsible and balanced approach to international obligations in labour sphere, the press service of the Federation of Uzbekistan Trade Unions said.
Guy Ryder expressed his satisfaction with participation of the ILO in expanding social partnership in Uzbekistan. He added that ILO is ready to cooperate with Uzbekistan, including in developing Decent Work Programme for 2017-2020.
